We do not offer flight instruction at this time. It’s something that we’re working on! We hope to be offering flight training options later in 2025.

We make it a point to not recommend any flight schools. It’s a personal choice that’s going to time and energy on your side to find what works best for you. We do have a guide on how to pick one on our Youtube channel that’s loaded with all the information you’ll need to make it.

Quick answer, find a flight instructor to learn privately or join a flight school. Each has their benefits and perks!

Learning privately can give you a flexible schedule in a more relaxed involvement.

Flight schools then come in 2 flavors. Part 61, which is more like learning privately but has a more structured approach. And Part 141, which is more like going to collage with course structure approved by the FAA, which allows you to get your certificates in less hours.

Just realize with any of these options you’re taking the same tests! How you get there is up to you!

The FAA requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight time to become a pilot. BUT, the average is closer to 65 hours.

How log it will take you depends on you and how much time you can dedicate to it. Learning to fly is a skill that takes time to master. If you can fly several times a week you’ll be ready for your checkride closer to that 40 hours. Flying less often can REALLY stretch things out.

This can all take anywhere from 2-6 months.

Ground school is the learning side of flying.

There’s rules, regulations, and practical knowledge that you need to be a safe pilot. Ground school teaches you everything you need to know to pass a written test prior to taking your practical test. Known as a checkride, this test consists of an oral section that tests you on this knowledge again and a flying portion to prove your skills in the cockpit.

This can be done online, which is how we recommend doing it. You can also do it with your flight instructor or flight school.
